Charles is a Winston-Salem State University graduate with a degree in Social Work. He continued his education and obtained his Master’s degree from the Joint Master of Social Work Program through NC A&T State University and UNC Greensboro. Charles is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate, whose practice is grounded in service, social justice, and empathy. As a Clinical Social Worker Associate, Charles approaches therapeutic practice holistically, promoting healing of the spirit, mind, and body. Charles values creating safe spaces for expression in a non-judgemental environment, which according to Charles, is a core value of working with his clients. His goal is to create an environment that will foster healthy coping skills, expand self-awareness, and be conducive to the client’s happiness and overall well-being. Charles has experience working with adults who are impacted by challenging life experiences and a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, and life transitions. Charles is committed to creating an environment that respects and affirms individuals of all abilities, races, genders, and sexual orientations. Charles works with ages 18+, with experience with LGBTQIA+, People of Color, trauma, and life transitions.
