Ilene received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1998 and continued her studies to earn her Masters of Education in Mental Health Counseling in 2003. In 2006, she earned her license and has held numerous positions across the childhood mental health field in this community. She has consulted in early child care and medical pediatric settings, facilitated social skills and parent support groups, and conducted home visits and early care educator professional development trainings. Additionally, she holds a certificate as a Professional School Counselor and is a Board Certified Coach in Family Life Education. She prefers to work with children under the age of 12 and is passionate about the therapeutic power of play that can help children work through difficulties in their life.
