Anna Buckman MSW, AASW, LCSW-A
I graduated from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work with additional certification in Animal-Assisted Social Work. As a clinical social worker, I strive to approach therapy from a holistic point of view. This allows you to connect your mind, body and spirit in a way that promotes whole body healing. I value acceptance and non-judgement as essential aspects of healing and strive to promote autonomy in my clients - It is my goal to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you are given room to access your wisdom, reflect and expand self-awareness. I am committed to creating an environment that is respectful and affirming of all abilities, races, genders and sexual orientations. Through the use of ACT, DBT, CBT and mindfulness, I provide treatment services to adolescents and adults affected by a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, life transitions and relationship issues. It is an act of courage to prioritize emotional well-being and I find great joy in taking this journey alongside my clients.
Jessie Roney- LCMHC-A
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A) and graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a Master of Education in School Counseling. Since 2017, I have worked as a school counselor providing individual and group counseling to children and adolescents ages 5-21. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and trauma-informed. I work with children, teens, and young adults from all gender, cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds. I believe that people are so much more than what they have experienced, and aim to provide a validating, open, and judgement-free zone to support you and your child in navigating all that life throws your way.
My philosophy on therapy is person-centered and strengths-based, meaning that the client has agency over their therapeutic progress. I consider myself a partner with families, and positive outcomes are the result of the client, family, and therapist working together. I take an eclectic approach, pulling primarily from Solutions Focused Brief Therapy, Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Reality Therapy when treating clients. I am currently pursuing training in Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) so that I will be better able to provide clients with tools that they can use themselves in daily life.
I am available to clients through telehealth on evenings and weekends. In my free time, I am either with friends or being a homebody listening to music and spending time with my cats.
